If your skip is to be placed on public land, you’ll need a permit from your local council. This needs to be attained before the skip is delivered, but we’ll take care of getting it for you.

Please note that many councils will not allow for skips larger than eight yards (12 feet) to be placed on a public highway. It’s also illegal to put hazardous, electrical and white good waste in a skip. We offer specialist clearance services for such materials.

The cost of skip hire depends on the size of the container, the waste type, and the length of time you need to rent the skip for.

Some of our most popular household options include 4 yard mini skips which start at £170 and 6-8 yard midi skips for builders and DIY waste, which have an average starting cost of £200+VAT for the base cost of the container.

Additional fees to consider are skip licenses and permits where containers are parked on the street, and we apply to local councils for these permissions to speed up the process and take the hassle out of skip hire for our customers.

Although our skips cover a range of sizes and types to accommodate different waste streams and pricing requirements, not all waste can be disposed of in skips, particularly hazardous waste like asbestos, chemicals like paints and solvents, and materials such as tyres and glass.
